Will it grow?

3 easy steps to discover
if your algae strain grows
in our Algem

Contact Us

1. Post us your strain

Follow our simple MTA process, to protect your strain and send us your sample.

2. We'll run your algae in our Algems

Our team will grow your algae strain in our Algem lab-scale photobioreactors to determine initial growth conditions using your preferred culture medium.

3. We do the work, you see the results

We'll send you the growth curves and associated data and work with you on identifying next steps in your Algem journey.

Yes it grows!

We've already tested the growth of a large number of strains and yes these are just some of those that grow:

"I gained strong familiarity with Algems during my doctoral research at UCL in Professor Saul Purton's laboratory and my postdoctoral research has been similarly supported by Algems in Professor Pat Harvey's lab at the University of Greenwich.

We have three Algem systems that are used almost 24/7 for various algal strains. In my opinion, the new Algem Will It Grow strain evaluation service being offered by Algenuity for prospective Algem customers will help customers quickly realise how Algem can support their own research programmes and maximise the benefit from the Algem system."
